Newman Wetlands Center : Down in Palm Beach (Florida), there is great facility called The Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Some of my best bird and turtle pictures were taken there. Closer to home, I found a fairly new facility, The Newman Wetlands Center. This was my first trip down there, and I'm afraid that the cooler temperatures kept some of the wildlife 'hunkered down.' But as you can see from these shots, the facility is nicely set up, and I look forward to going back again soon.

Shallowford Flowers : Spring is in the air...and so is the pollen. I took my camera and tripod over to my church to capture some of the natural beauty on the grounds. When you look at these pictures, you'll see the abundance of yellow pine pollen that has been covering most of Atlanta for the past week or so.

Winter 2007 : The month of February was a chance to capture the cold side of Mother Nature. First, I ventured near my office for a couple of road-side pictures. Then I headed to Boston for work, just in time for their first "Nor'easter" of the year. For President's Day weekend, I helped chaperone the Shallowford Youth Group for a ski weekend in Beech Mountain, NC. I wasn't up for skiing personally, so while the rest of the folks were making tracks, I grabbed one of the vans and headed out for my own adventure.

Mom & Dad's : My Mom and Dad have worked hard to landscape their yard in Davie, Flordia. In the process, they have created a great nature habitat as well - particularly for butterflys and birds. I took these during the week of Christmas, 2006, as well as a couple of years ago.
